Vietnam has undergone a long and fierce war. The glorious victories of our forefathers have left a lot of precious historical monuments for future generations. The tunnel system is one of the historical sites that expresses the will to struggle and tactical military of Vietnamese soldiers and civilians. Recently, Vietnam has about 10 tunnels which are very famous and attractive to so many domestic and foreign visitors, who wish to see the replayed images of the war in the tunnels. The most famous tunnels are: Ben Duoc Tunnel, Ben Dinh Tunnel, Cu Chi Tunnel, Vinh Moc Tunnel, Khe Trai Tunnel, Vinh Linh Tunnel, Nhon Trach Tunnel.
Ben Duoc tunnels
Ben Duoc tunnels in Phu Hiep Hamlet, Phu My Hung Commune, Cu Chi District, Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam, (the cellars that the leaders of the District Committee and the Military Zone of Saigon - Cho Lon – Where Gia Dinh lived, fought during the war) The Ben Duoc Tunnels system is part of a network known as the Cu Chi Tunnels System, about 70 Km. north west of Ho Chi Minh City (Siagon). The system went deep underground on several levels and at its height stretch for some 200 kilometers. The system was fully self-contained with accommodation, cooking and eating facilities, a hospital and meeting rooms. The tunnel entrances were difficult to find and were well defended. The system survived intense bombing by the USA during the Vietnam war.
Ben Dinh tunnels

After the end of the war against French invaders, Cu Chi Tunnels were also utilised and expanded during the American War by incorporating effective air filtration systems, which helped Vietnamese soldiers survive the Chu Chi carpet-bombing by the Americans. As they were built so deep underground, military tanks could pass overhead without causing any damage to the tunnels.

vinh Linh tunnels are an immense network of connecting underground tunnels located in the vinh linh District of Quang Tri , Vietnam, and are part of a much larger network of tunnels that underlie much of the country. The Vinh Linh tunnels were the location of several military campaigns during the Vietnam War, and were the Viet Cong's base of operations for the Tết Offensive in 1966 - 1968. The Vinh Linh Tunnels are an elaborate underground community made up of 40 km of tunnels and chambers below the city.
The tunnels were used by Viet Cong soldiers as hiding spots during combat, as well as serving as communication and supply routes, hospitals, food and weapon caches and living quarters for numerous North Vietnamese fighters. The tunnel systems were of great importance to the Viet Cong in their resistance to American forces, and helped to counter the growing American military effort.
